Design and development for Lestor CMS
For Koole Media Service, I worked on Lestor, a collection of services focused on the external and internal communication of small and medium-sized businesses. I built a new version based on an existing content management system. The previous version was not user-friendly, contained many errors, and lacked some important modern features.
For this CMS, I undertook the following tasks:
- I conducted a card sorting exercise to determine which designations were applicable and how users grouped them.
- I expanded the page system with page content. The page content is easy to update as it resembles a blog post, but the architecture is highly dynamic, allowing for various implementations within a page. Page content is also suitable for multiple types of content, such as news articles, products, events, and even photo albums.
- I updated the text editor and immediately added a file manager to it. This allows for the easy uploading of multiple files.
- I also made this file manager available outside the text editor so that it can be used for photo albums and page headers.
